Dr. Ashraf al-Shehhi, head of Zagazig University opens Plasma Laboratory, Faculty of Engineering

Dr. Ashraf al-Shehhi, head of Zagazig University opened on Monday March 23, 2015 Plasma Laboratory, funded by the STDF.

During the opening of the lab Dr. Ashraf al-Shehhi pointed out that the plant is designed to address the modern uses in the field of plasma and working on their application in collaboration with industry bodies including the potential and fits the requirements of society and the creation of a scientific base able to cope with modern scientific variables and adapt to community service.

He explained Mohamed poet professor at the Faculty of Engineering which is based on laboratory plasma that the applications of plasma technology laboratory at the Faculty of Engineering was created after the college received a wide range of plasma-generating devices from the Max Planck Institute in Munich, Germany, which is the largest mall in the world for this purpose and that as a gift to the College. This was followed by the college to receive another set of devices as well as a gift from the University of Essen, Germany. He added that this laboratory capabilities allowed the establishment of several experiments in plasma applications and the formation of a working group consists at present of the twelve members of the young teachers and assistant teachers, and access to several funded by the Ministry of Scientific Research and the European Group for the construction of the plant capacities and modernization of instrumentation research projects.
